Ugh… I am so tired. I'm not even entirely sure why anymore, but the fact remains that I am really freakin' tired. And all of a sudden, hungry, which is nothing I can really do anything about, because I have no money whatsoever.

Still, on to the point- Halloween updates. I've got my mother working on the coat (finally), I've mostly repainted the gun to my satisfaction- all it needs is some teal. So far, it's one of those double-barreled water guns, about the size of a sawed-off shotgun, and I have repainted it in black and copper and chrome, so you'd never guess that it was once red and blue.

I'm thinking that my elaborate backpack-mounted water canister's going to have to be foregone, at least for Halloween. If I take this costume to a con or anything, I'll fix up a pretty pack with a little tesla globe and lots of christmas lights, the ones with the tiny round bulbs. Right now it would simply cost too much to deal with right now.

So… boots, check. I am totally in love with a pair that I got from my lab partner as a present for helping her out with the rocks & minerals chapters. She was getting rid of them anyway, but still. They're awesome, and I wear them just about every day. Coat, not yet check, but Mom's working on it. Mind-control ray gun, pretty much check. Goggles, double check. I'm debating carrying my gas mask around on my belt, perhaps donning it once or twice. It shouldn't interfere with my pigtails.

I halfway think that if I did, the ((ridiculously normal)) people of Emporia would freak out to such an extent that I'd get arrested for disturbing the peace. Emporia is a very normal town. Even campus is blah. I've seen maybe three or four kids around who look as though they shop at somewhere other than Wal-mart or a preppy store, as opposed to Columbus, which was pretty eclectically mixed. Emporia is small, is in the middle of freakin' nowhere, and has no alt culture to it, not even remotely. I am easily the most hardcore person out there, which is strange.

Damn, I miss Ohio.
